Attended and Unattended Robots
The robots built in DentalRPA can be run dynamically depending on the need of the process.
  • Assisted tool mode: from an icon on the desktop.
  • Hybrid waiting (trigger) for an event: key combination, waiting for a file in a shared folder, email inbox, etc.
  • Unattended orchestrated by DentalRPA Orchestrator Center.
  • Unattended executed by cronJob or Windows Task Scheduler

DentalRPA has licenses that adapt to each company's needs, not only in costs, but also in the number of robots that need to be run, and in "where" they need to be run.

Each license belongs to a team or "instance" and is identified by a unique TOKEN. This allows one developer per machine.The Developer license allows for free manufacturing, testing and debugging of a robot from the development environment.

The production license allows the execution of BOTs and depending on the license used they can be executed only sequentially, or sequentially and in parallel, with capacities of 2, 4, and up to 10 processes in parallel on the same computer. The number of processes to run will depend on the physical architecture and the process. We have SAP cases of six parallel instances.

On-Premise or Cloud?
DentalRPA is built to run on all three major GNU / Linux operating systems (Ubuntu 18.04> Server Desktop or Docker), MS Windows (win7>, Server 2012>), and macOS.

This allows a process to be automated and executed in BOTs, both in On-premise computers and in public Clouds or Private Clouds, making it possible to implement a BOT architecture, or a fully hybrid RPA solution.

Whatever your business needs, the versatility of DentalRPA adapts to your infrastructure: On-Premise, Cloud or Hybrid.
Which Cloud services can it work on?
We can run on any Cloud with an active desktop. This means it must be able to pick up a work desk.

This allows us to work with the leading Cloud providers in the market.
  • AWS WorkSpaces or Windows 10 Servers>
  • Azure and virtual servers MS Windows /Linux Ubuntu.
  • If your server does not have an active desktop you can use our Docker image ready to work.
DentalRPA needs an active desktop to work. Any service that offers this, is compatible with DentalRPA.
Working with container or Docker
We have a Docker image ready to be used. It has the following features:
  • Ubuntu 18.04 Linux
  • Xfce4 active desktop.
  • Non-VNC for connecting via browser.
  • Remote desktop clients
  • Firefox/Chrome browsers.

Encryption and data handling
We have modules for data encryption. This can be stored in the MS Windows credential system. There are also encryption modules, both for code in production and for separate data.
  • AES in CBC mode with a 128-bit key for encryption; using PKCS7 padding.
  • HMAC using SHA256 for authentication.
Robots are encrypted when they go into production, protecting the whole code and the variables used in it.

All robots are encrypted and cannot be modified. You will need a production license to make it work.
Real-time debugging
It is always possible to know what the robot is doing in real time. DentalRPA has several methods that show each event:
  • Event terminal screen output.
  • Log file in "app.log".
  • Module to dump or load variables to file.
  • Module to watch in real time in a floating screen personalized log.
  • Event logs in R.O.C. (DentalRPA Orchestrator Center).
  • Additionally, the modules for sending data by email, SMS, Voice by phone, or WhatsApp, allow to know the status of the robot easily and quickly, on any device and at any time.
Version Control
Every time a robot is saved, a copy of the code is created in a SQLite3 database.

This creates a version of it. This is stored on the DB being used (default robot.db). Also, you can export the robot to a .JSON file, which can be used in any version repository such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • It saves a new version on the DB for each save.
  • Export project to another DB and make versioning.
  • Export to JSON and version.
  • Choose to export to JSON and you can version your code with the tool that best suits your business.
The Orchestrator has role-based user control (RBAC). This means that the user can interact with the parts of the orchestrator according to his role.

The Orchestrator is in charge of sending the robots to the configured instances and of receiving all the system status information (RAM, CPU, Disk, etc.).

After logging in, the connection with the instances is done with encrypted connections.

D.O.C.'s system is based on:
  • JWT-protected data in transition.
  • 2-Step 2FA Login (Google).
  • The passwords are stored encrypted in a database (Mysql/SqlServer/Postgres) by Hash Argon2 and bcrypt.
  • OWASP Top10 Constant Check.
